With thousands of Californians and visitors annually booking our transportation services, we’ve gotten to know the SoCal region pretty well. From hot air balloon rides, sunset cruise dining on the ocean, camping on an island for yourself – here are some of the coolest things our clientele has done in the Southern California region! With nearly 300 days of sunshine yearly, hundreds of miles of sandy beaches and a never-sleeping metropolis, SoCal definitely is the spot that has it all.
Are you looking for that never-ending nightlife LA is so known for? We know all the places! Some of the most popular night clubs include Avalon Hollywood, the Sound Nightclub, Exchange LA, the Conga Room at L.A. Live, and The Edison. These places are extremely popular and often crowded, but offer an amazing opportunity to party and dance the night away. Many clients mistakingly think the nightlife of SoCal has to end early. Now that is wrong. While it is true that many Los Angeles nightclubs close by 2-, 3- or 4 am, LA is also home to many that stay open as long as you’re up. While Exchange LA has open till 6 am on Saturdays, Los Globos is open until 6 am on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Maybe the most visited late night club in the Greater L.A. Area, the Avalon Club on Vine Street, is open until 5 am on Fridays and 8 am on Saturdays. With 24/7 hour services, you never have to stop the party with an LA- or Ventura party bus either. For other places open as late as you need, check out the opening times of the bars of Hollywood and Downtown, or contact us for any questions you may have about LA nightlife or inquiries for L.A. limousines or LAX airport sedan offers. Our fleet includes everything from party buses, SUV’s, stretch limos and town cars. See also our own Santa Barbara Nightlife Guide.
Amazing shopping opportunities
Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade might the most popular shopping district in Southern California. There are of course other places, such as various malls and outlets, including the Camarillo Outlets and many others, but the Third Street Promenade and its Santa Monica Place mall seem to be the two most popular shopping places for our customers. Preferred for its broad pedestrian-only streets, there is no need to bring your car to the Third Street Promenade. Located close to the Santa Monica Pier and Beach, combining a day at the beach with some shopping is a great way of spending the most out of your time. Obviously most chosen by our Santa Barbara limo customers is the city’s main street, State Street. For souvenirs and unique Southern California items, check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame or the Venice Boardwalk! Some other hugely popular places of shopping includes the many larger malls of the L.A. region. Some of these include Hollywood & Highland Center on Hollywood Boulevard, the Grove, the Beverly Center, the Americana at Brand, the Glendale Galleria, and the Westfield Pavailion. For Ventura limousine and Ventura party bus clients, the Pacific View Mall is popular, along with the Camarillo Outlets as well as the Oaks in Thousand Oaks. Whatever your location in SoCal, contact Blackhawk to hear about our recommendations for great shopping in your respective place!
The area is home to many miles of sandy Pacific beaches, with many places worth checking out. We often recommend Santa Barbara limo clients to first make a visit to East Beach by Stearns Wharf, the main city beach on the American Riviera. For LA customers, we would recommend Santa Monica, and also nearby Venice. For dining on the beach itself, check out Duke’s or Shutter’s on the Beach for some great on-the-beach dining. What about a dinner at sea? Many people take their dates on sunset cruise dinners at the ocean, offered by the S.B. Sailing Center and often serviced by our limos in Santa Barbara. Another tip for an amazing dinner could be flying from the Camarillo Airport to Santa Cruz Island for a dinner and night in Avalon. For the most scenic beaches of Southern California, head down to Orange County to visit Manhattan-, Laguna-, or Newport Beaches. It is also in Orange County we find 1,000 Steps Beach, often rated one of the most picturesque beaches in California. Often serviced on our L.A.- and Malibu wine tours are trips to the various tasting-rooms overlooking the Pacific, including the Deep Sea Tasting Room as well as Rosenthal. For those that truly love the ocean, venture out to the Channel Islands National Park! Here you can camp for the night, hike in beautiful surroundings, and maybe even see an endemic Channel Islands Fox! Many species are native to the islands and found nowhere else on Earth. Explore the Channel Islands to experience how SoCal really was, – and how the Chumash Indian people lived for thousands of years before the Europeans “discovered” the Americas!
Hot air balloon rides
What could possibly beat a hot air balloon ride over the American Riviera? Not much! Contact Sky’s The Limit for your balloon ride over the vineyards! There are hot air balloon companies throughout Southern California for an option closer to you. Check for example out Hot Air Balloon Adventure in Newbury Park, Limoneira in Santa Paula, or Temecula Valley’s A Great Escape Balloon Adventure. For an alternative romantic getaway in the skies, research the many cool helicopter- and small plane excursions! For helicopter sightseeing over Solvang, check out Helinet Aviation Services. For day trips to Santa Rosa Island, contact the Channel Islands Aviation for your flight out of the Camarillo Airport. Blue Edge Parasailing on Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara is another great alternative. Many clients also fly out to Santa Catalina Island’s Airport-in-the-Sky for a nice evening and dinner in Avalon on the “Island of Romance.” For awesome private sailplane rides over the wine country of Santa Ynez, check out Windhaven Glider Rides. Four other companies offering tours include Heli-Tours, Channel Islands Adventure, Santa Barbara Aviation, SEA Santa Barbara, as well as Seventh Heaven. Seeing the vineyards from above will give new insight to Santa Ynez- and Malibu wine tours, and a great compliment to some great-tasting wines.
Bored? Remember that L.A. is the world’s entertainment’s capital. If you just look, you are guaranteed to find an activity that fits your interest. Check out the local itineraries and discover concerts and performances by some of your favorite artists and celebrities! And what’s cooler and more authentic Hollywood than to show up in style with the help of a limousine service? Whether you’re heading to L.A. LIVE, the S.B. Bowl, Hollywood Bowl or any other entertainment venue in SoCal, we will be able to accommodate your needs for transportation. Many order limousines to go to the various TV-productions in town, e.g. participating in the audience for shows such as Dr. Phil or the Ellen Show. Check out Studio City, Burbank and the Hollywood area for cool places with many studios. While you’ll be able to see the actual sets for movies such as Batman, Friends and the Gilmore Girls at the Warner Bros Studios, you’ll see the sets for films such as Psycho and Jaws at the Universal Studios.
