Airport sedan at Downtown’s San Antonio Winery

Although not home to any vineyards per say, tasting rooms are endless in the City of Angels. Maybe the most popular tours for our airport sedan and LA limousine services include the wineries of Downtown LA, including the San Antonio Winery, the oldest still producing winery in the city. San Antonio also offers daily behind-the-scenes tours of its winery, and is also one of few wineries to offer food. Many smaller independent wineries are found throughout the Greater LA Area, including St. James Spirits in Irwindale, Rancho De Philo Winery in Alta Loma, Galleano Winery in Mira Loma and Joseph Filippi Winery in Rancho Cucamonga. Orange County is home to numerous great tasting-rooms and wineries popular for limousine and party bus riders, including Anaheim’s O.C. Custom Wine, Sierra Madre Vineyard in Placentia, Stewarts Vineyards in Yorba Linda and the Departure Wine Company in Orange. Several of these wineries are only open for scheduled appointments, make sure to research opening times or contact our limo services to set up your wine tour itinerary.

Santa Barbara wine tours to the Deep Sea Tasting Room on Stearns Wharf have become increasingly popular and offers gorgeous 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean. One of the unique qualities of wine-tasting tours in Santa Barbara is the close proximity between the various tasting-rooms. A short walk separates over ten wineries in the city, including tasting-rooms such as the Corks n’ Crowns Tasting Room, Riverbench Santa Barbara Tasting Room, Kalyra by the Sea, Lafond Winery and Fox Wine Co. A great tour worth researching is the Sustainable Vine Wine Tours with behind-the-scene experiences at various wineries, including Ampelos Cellars, Demetria- and Alma Rosa Wineries. The Santa Barbara Winery is a must, which is the oldest winery in the county. A great start to a wine-tasting experience on the American Riviera is to watch the movie Sideways (2004). Most Romantic Santa Barbara Activities

a-picture-of-state-street-by-a-santa-barbara-limo-tour-package-last-spring
Strolling State Street is an essential activity in S.B.

Ranked as one of America’s most romantic cities, the American Riviera is an ideal choice for many when picking a dating location. Which is also why so many order their dates with limo services in the Santa Barbara area or from another location, such as transportation to Santa Barbara from Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange County, and other areas in Southern California. With more than 690 eateries, restaurants and bakeries, the American Riviera is also one of the most restaurant- and bar dense communities in the country. Furthermore, its charming Spanish architecture including the iconic red-tile roofs are a distinctive romantic attribute to the city. With its beautiful SoCal beaches, palm-lined boulevards and avenues, and the rolling hills of the Santa Ynez Mountains in the back, the American Riviera is an obvious choice for many couples looking for a romantic getaway. The city’s most visited tourist attraction, the Santa Barbara Mission, was founded in the late 1780’s and is one of California’s most historic colonial treasures. Few minutes from the mission is where we find the famous botanic garden, an over sixty acre park with representations from all types of endemic Californian flora. Make sure to bring your date by the Pritchett Bench for the most relaxing, charming and romantic experiences.

a-lady-in-a-vineyard-on-santa-barbara-wine-tours-2016-experienceOnly thirty minutes from downtown S.B. is where we find the rolling green hills and vineyards of the Santa Ynez Valley, maybe Southern California’s most popular destination for wine tours. Easily combined with romantic outings in town, the vineyards and wine country of S.B. County is a must see for everyone, and maybe particularly for dating couples. Before leaving town, do not forget to make a visit to the Moreton Bay Fig Tree, which is the largest Australian tree in America with branches covering over 165 feet (easily covering over a thousand people on hot summer days.) A local sailor came ashore with its seed in mid 1870’s and handed the seed to a local girl, who then proceeded to plant it where it still stands today. A remarkable story and a beloved landmark. For 19th- and 20th century art, bring your date to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art to see some beautiful paintings and artifact items. Or as many ask our limousine service when booking their trip: “What is the most romantic S.B. beach?”. While the West Beach and maybe particularly the East Beach are the most visited beaches in the area, they are definitely not the finest beaches on the American Riviera. Stretching all the way from Montecito to Stearns Wharf is where we find East Beach, by far ing most visited beach in the area. For dating couples looking for a more secluded and romantic location, the Leadbetter Beach is a sheltered and secluded beach which is great for lone swimming or picnicking. Alternatively, one can check out the Mesa Lane Beach or Hendry’s Beach for some of Southern California’s most idyllic stretches of sand beach.

west-beach-santa-barbara-from-stearns-wharf-after-a-limo-trip-by-local-limousine-services-luxuryAn array of outdoorsy activities are available. Go by the Visitor’s Center to pick up your hiking maps before venturing on to for example the Seven Falls Trail, one of the most popular trails in town. Furthermore, the historic Chumash Painted Cave State Historic Park includes thousands-of-year-old pictographs and petroglyphs, and is also appearing on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places because of its tremendous historic value. Many Santa Barbara limo passengers decide to stop by here on their way to or from the Santa Ynez vineyards. Clientele looking for hotels in the area have many choices. Some of our most romantic picks would be the El Capitan Canyon, El Encanto Hotel and Garden Villas, Hotel Oceana, Inn of the Spanish Garden, Simpson House Inn, and the Upham Hotel and Country House. Surrounding areas are also home to a variety of great hotel options, for instance the Bacara Resort in Goleta, Inn on Summer Hill in Summerland, or the San Ysidro Ranch or Four Seasons Biltmore located in Montecito, CA. Wine tours to the Santa Maria- and Santa Ynez Valleys are guaranteed to be a romantic getaway, but even more so if combined with a romantic layover in wine country! Our favorites here include the Union Hotel in Los Alamos, Santa Ynez Inn in the town of Santa Ynez, Fess Parker’s Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos, as well as the Ballard Inn in Ballard and Alisal Guest Ranch in Solvang. Santa Barbara’s breathtaking wine-country isn’t just famous for its great wine varietals and natural beauty, but also an increasing number of great restaurants are finding their way to SoCal’s vineyards. Some of our clientele’s favorites are the Brothers Restaurant at Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos, Chef Rick’s in Santa Ynez, the Nuuva Restaurant & Café in Ballard, as well as the Hitching Post in Buellton.

santa-barbara-architecture-style-unique-limousineHowever, venturing out on a wine-tasting tour is far from required for fine dining in the S.B. area. As a matter of fact, many renting our party bus services for their trips to the vineyards actually prefer staying in town for their meals prior or after visiting the wine country. The Beachside Bar Café located in Goleta Beach Park might be one of the county’s most romantic diners where you can enjoy a beautiful meal on the beach surrounded by beachgoers, surfers and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. Closer to town is where we find amongst others the magnificent Wine Cask on Anacapa Street, a great spot for dining and wine pairings. Alternatively, couples often head to the Deep Sea Tasting Room on the Stearns Wharf for some great wine tastings surrounded by picturesque ocean-views. For some excellent French cuisine, we’ve even had airport transfers going by Bouchon on West Victoria Street for their great local wine tasting offers and tasty meals. Consistently ranked as one of the city’s greatest restaurants, Citronelle on Cabrillo Boulevard will not let you down. Not too into French cuisine? Try the Italian Emilio’s Ristorante, also located on Cabrillo. Many of our limousine service clientele love Epiphany, an elegant restaurant on Victoria Street owned by Kevin Costner and his wife. For Santa Barbara limo customers looking to dine by Montecito, we would recommend Plow and Angel Bistro on San Ysidro Lane, one of the area’s first restaurants specializing on gourmet dining.

stearns-wharf-taken-on-a-santa-barbara-wine-tasting-tour-in-2016From historic missions, white sandy beaches and among the highest density of eateries, the American Riviera might be one of the most romantic destinations you and your partner can do. Even more so when accompanied by chauffeured limousine or party bus services. Whether you are visiting the Santa Barbara Bowl or the Museum of Art or anything in between, you can trust us for a timely pickup and arrival with the utmost professional drivers and luxurious vehicles. Whether you are heading to the iconic zoo or one of the city’s many outdoor music venues, any event can be made even better when arriving in luxury stretch limousines or party bus options by your own preference. Best Places for Water Pokemons

santa-monica-pier-2016-on-a-pokemon-go-city-tour-with-la-limoWhile most go to the Santa Monica- and Venice Beaches on their hunt for water Pokemons, there are many additional places that might be just as fun and rewarding. Both the Santa Monica Pier and many areas in Venice have pokéstops, which makes it easy to refill pokéballs while still looking for new ones. A recent birthday party of kids in a Ventura party bus ventured down to Santa Monica Beach for three reasons: 1) They had heard extremely rare types such as Dratini and Electabuzz are prevalent here, 2) The Santa Monica Pier has three Pokéstops, and 3) In order to catch water Pokemons. For the adult players, remember to go by the Rusty’s Surf Ranch on the pier for an exclusive $5 drink deal for Pokémon Go players. Looking for a place for water Pokemons while dining? The beautiful Cheesecake Factory on the beach in Marina del Rey might be your best shot. Not just a pokéstop with gym nearby, with its location on the beach it draws an incredibly huge amount of rare Pokemons. Many limousine rental riders have caught Pokemons such as Seel, Shelldeer, Squirtle, Hitmonlee, Gloom, Kabutops, and so many more at this location. Just a short walk from the ocean shore, go for a stroll at the beach in between refilling for pokéballs at the pokéstop for an even bigger chance of catching a water type.

Pokehunting & Rollercoasters

Theme parks are meccas for PokéStops, gyms, and Pokemons!

Universal Studios Hollywood might be our number one recommendation for best places for Pokemon Go in LA. Our gamer clientele have told us there are “way more than twenty pokéstops here,” and many rare Pokemons have been caught here. Similarly, we recently transported Santa Barbara limo clientele from Montecito to Disneyland because of the theme park’s abundance of Pokemons. “Nearly all rollercoasters are also pokéstops,” a satisfied mother told the chauffeur after their day of rides and pokéhunting in Disneyland. If you end up heading to Universal, make sure to take a stroll along Universal CityWalk for a great chance of seeing rare Pokemons and discovering many pokéstops in addition to CityWalk’s two gyms. As far as inside Universal Studios, you can enjoy 20 pokéstops at the Studio tours and visit the park’s numerous gyms. Not to forget, the studio tours are also a great way of getting your eggs to hatch early! Don’t forget to go by the Transformers ride for not just a gym, but two pokéstops.

Pokemon Go Malibu Wine Tours!

This old vehicle at Malibu Family Wines is also a PokéStop.

Malibu Family Wines is the best place for enjoying a wine tour while still catching Pokemons. Not only does this winery offer a gym, but also two pokéstops, which can make a visit here a lot of fun! By their private safari tours further up the Malibu Canyons there isn’t just an additional pokéstop, but people of all ages will love their safaris featuring animals such as buffalos, camels, zebras, giraffes, alpacas, turtles, and more. If you arrive on your own, this is also the place where you will be parking your vehicle before jumping on one of their many shuttles going back to the winery. One of the major reason limousine rental clients fall in love with this place is their great weekend entertainment, featuring karaoke nights, movie screenings, standup comedy, concerts, and much more! Many visitors here combine their tours with visits to the Malibu Café, where you can also find numerous pokéstops as well as a gym. The Malibu Café also has a gorgeous creek running by which increases your chances of catching water types. Come by after dark for a higher chance of witnessing rare and desired Pokémon types. Other Malibu wine-tasting venues include Cornell as well as Rosenthal Wine Bar & Patio. Clientele booking Malibu wine tours to Rosenthal love that it’s right across from the Pacific Ocean, increasing the chances of catching water types. Being a gym, Ladyface Alehouse in Agoura is popular for many renting our Ventura party bus vehicles and limousines for mixing wine-tasting with poké-hunting.

On the studio tour, limousine rental clients can enjoy multiple sets from their favorite movies and television series, including sets from the airport scenes in War of the Worlds (2005), the famous Bates Motel in Psycho (1960), Whoville in Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), Amity Island in Jaws (1975), and the Mysteria Lane neighborhood in Desperate Housewives. Best SoCal Waterparks

universal-studios-on-tour-with-american-luxury-limousine-los-angeles-california-2016With more than ten major water theme parks, the greater Los Angeles Area can be a difficult place to pick a water park to visit. With its beautiful sunny Mediterranean weather, it may be no surprise that water parks are popular destinations for our LA-, Ventura- and Santa Barbara limo services. Whether you prefer the larger parks such as Knott’s Soak City, Raging Waters Los Angeles or Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, or smaller water parks with less waiting lines, Southern California has it! While Raging Waters is the largest park, occupying 45 acres, the water slides might be the best at the more famous Hurricane Harbor and Knott’s Soak City. Raging Waters is located in Boneli Regional Park, Soak City in Buena Park, and Hurricane Harbor is next door to Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. Several of the smaller parks, such as Great Wolf Lodge by Anaheim, offers cheap pricing and less waiting. For example could a daily entrance ticket to the Great Wolf Lodge be found for $15, while adults are $7 at the Seaside Lagoon Redondo Beach! Other great water parks worth checking out include The Cove Water Park in Redondo, Los Angeles’ Stoner Park Splash Park, Sigler Park Splash Pad in Westminister, and the Buccaneer Bay Splash Water Park in La Mirada. While Malibu may not have a lot of theme parks, combining a day at the beach with a visit to the Malibu Wine Safaris on a Malibu wine tour might be just as fun!

Cheaper & Less Crowded

With so many great large and famous LA amusement parks, it is easy to mistakingly believe theme park admissions have to cost a fortune. But there are also several minor amusement parks throughout SoCal, where our Los Angeles party bus clients have told us the waiting lines are shorter and the price is cheaper at for instance Knott’s Berry Farm. You can expect half the prices and half the wait lines at Knott’s. Tickets here are $56.99 and with over 160 attractions, you will unlikely go through them all. Ghost Town and its Ghost Rider is a must. So is panning for gold here. Looking for a thrilling rollercoaster? You’ll find them too here. Check for instance out the Jaguar or Montezooma Revenge with its 75 foot loop. Other great rides worth checking out are the Xcelerator, the Boomerang, the Pony Express, Riptide, and many more. Cool off in the even more affordable next door water park, Knott’s Soak City, where the entrance is $21.99 for children. Enjoying a day at the beach? Head by the Pacific Park for the original pier theme park experience if you’re by Santa Monica, or head to on a safari and Malibu wine tour if you’re by Malibu! Exploring the Balboa Peninsula and Balboa Island? Visiting the Balboa Fun Zone is a must for anyone in Newport Beach.

A giraffe at the beautiful Santa Barbara Zoo

First and foremost, no article about “viewing wildlife in Santa Barbara” is complete without a paragraph dedicated to the local city zoo. As we even get LAX sedan calls for clients wanting to head all the way to this particular zoo, it is certainly a must to go by for anyone visiting the American Riviera. Especially fun for the children, this zoo situated in thirty acres of lush gorgeous scenery, also known as the Santa Barbara Zoological Gardens. There are also domestic species such as California condors, American alligators, scorpions, black widows, California tree frogs, opossums, meerkats, and otters amongst others. The Channel Island Fox is an endemic species to Santa Cruz Island and the Channel Islands National Park

Prefer seeing animals in their natural habitats? Fear not! Four of the eight California Channel Islands are also parts of the county, featuring maybe the state’s most beautiful natural settings at islands such as Santa Rosa- and Santa Cruz Islands. Contact Island Packers for your trip to the Channel Islands National Park in order to visit the islands. Here you can enjoy some of the whitest sandy beaches all for yourself at Santa Rosa Island, camp in the outback or venture on a hike for the best chance of discovering the many species uniquely endemic to the islands – animals found nowhere else on Earth. We recently transported people from Santa Ynez wine tours directly to the Island Packer Cruises for their short trip across the channel in order to visit Anacapa Island. Not only did they go here for the island’s natural beauty, but also to observe the many birds such as the Western Gull, Bald Eagle, Brown Pelican, Cormorant, and many more. They were also looking forward to seeing sea lions sunbathing and was hoping the experience the wave of Gray Whales when crossing the channel. Whales, sea lions, brown pelicans, seals, dolphins and even sharks are some of the animals our Santa Barbara limo customers experience on crossings of the S.B. Channel. If the California Channel Islands isn’t your first choice, check out the sunset dining cruises with the Santa Barbara Sailing Center!

A whale-watching cruise in the Santa Barbara Channel can be rewarding!

How about actually feeding ostriches at an ostrich farm? Near Buellton is where we find OstrichLand U.S.A. where kids of all ages will love their chance of feeding these rather huge birds. Prefer sea-life over avifauna? Why not go on a whale watching cruise? The Condor Express will take you on an adventure you’re unlikely to forget. The two-deck cruise venture out on the ocean for a couple of hours, offering great chances of experiencing the idyllic California Grey Whale migrations. Other species you’re likely to encounter include numerous species of seals (e.g. Guadalupe Fur Seal, Northern Elephant Seal, Northern Fur Seal, Harbor Seal), sea lions (California Sea Lion, Northern Sea Lion), dolphins (Pacific White-Sided Dolphin, Short-Beaked Common Dolphin, and then other species), and whales such as the Killer Whale and Gray Whale, and sharks such as the Tiger- and Great White Shark. Limos for rent clientele going on Santa Barbara whale cruises have told us about the Island Scrub Jay, a bird species only found on and around Santa Cruz Island: California’s largest island and located in S.B. County. And if you venture across the channel to the national park, remember to go on a look for the native endemic Channel Island Fox – yet another animal found nowhere else on Earth. Perhaps not as exciting, the Island Fence Lizard is also an endemic animal on these windswept Pacific islands.

Prefer something closer to LA? How about a Malibu wine tour safari!?

Santa Barbara limo services so often transport people these days for the butterfly sanctuaries and exhibits at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Here you can enjoy walking amongst free flying colorful butterflies in a beautiful botanical garden. While over thirty species of butterflies can be seen here, an even more popular pick is Pismo State Beach, which has America’s largest number of Monarch butterflies. From November through the month of March, visitors to this beach can enjoy views of as many as 200,000 rather huge Monarch butterflies, filling the trees and making an unbeatable experience. Pismo State Beach also is one of the state’s largest sand dunes, and is a protected area partly due to its abundance of wildlife. We have had LAX sedan callers heading here and telling us about the awesome beavers in Meadow Creek as well as larger numbers of bobcats than most places in California. With over fifty species over birds present year-long, start your adventure here by heading to the Pismo Beach Nature Center at the Oceano Campground. Here limousine rentals clientele can enjoy an outstanding exhibit of park butterfly-, animal-, bird- and fish species.

Many vineyards are often visited by deer and other animals

But why head to San Luis Obispo County for sand dunes, when Santa Barbara County has California’s largest sand dunes at Nipomo Dunes Preserve in Guadalupe? And while Pismo Beach brags 50 species of birds, the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes National Wildlife Refuge is home to more than 200 bird species! Being a safe-place for endangered animals such as the Snowy Plover, California Red-Legged Frog and the California Tiger Salamander, spotting rare animals here are not rare. The more than 2,500-acre nature preserve is also home to Mountain lions, Bobcats, Foxes, Mule Deer, Eagles, Brown Pelicans, Black-Tailed Deer, and numerous other species of animals. Come here in March for a landscape covered with flowers of all colors. Some winters the beach draws half a million (!) Sooty Sherwaters, which can be quite the view.

Yet another local option is the beautiful Cachuma Lake Recreation Area in the Santa Ynez Valley, a popular destination for through-traveling wine-sippers on various Santa Ynez wine tours. Here you can enjoy the two hour wildlife cruise of the lake, offered by the Santa Barbara County Parks. The Neal Taylor Nature Center here is free of charge and offers exhibits on local fauna, flora, history and more. Having one of California’s largest habitats for Bald Eagles, Lake Cachuma is a great spot for seeing a Bald Eagle in its right element. With over 5 miles of trails, venturing by foot will give you a great chance of seeing one of the area’s many mammals, including bobcats, cougars, foxes, rabbits, deer, and many more. Lovers of reptiles and amphibians will find tours of the lake particularly enjoyable. Limos for rent can be for any occasion. Why not go on a stylish and memorable limousine wildlife tour?
